New hygiene standard and an award-winning design: the CONTI+ CONPRIMUS shower panel
Thanks to a concept that is as ingenious as it is simple, the new CONTI+ CONPRIMUS shower panels offer an entirely unique hygiene standard: the electronically controlled thermostat is positioned at the same height as the shower head. This reduces to an absolute minimum the standing water column that occurs with conventional shower systems. What’s more, the hot, cold and mixed water lines can be flushed separately. As a result, the CONTI+ CONPRIMUS can almost completely rule out the possibility of microbiological contamination of the shower water.
The thermostat based on proportional valve technology offers volume-controlled shower water mixing via servomotors. By also positioning the thermostat precisely at the height of the shower head, resulting in a very small standing water column, we have achieved an extremely high and completely new hygiene standard for shower panels. CONTI+ CONPRIMUS is therefore an ideal shower application for public, semi-public and commercial environments, as these areas have to meet particularly high standards of functional safety and vandalism protection, as well as hygiene and maintenance.
In addition to the new functions, particular attention has been paid to the design of the shower panels. With a depth of just 4 centimetres, the stainless steel cover of the CONTI+ CONPRIMUS is much slimmer than that of comparable products, making it ideal for all kinds of shower rooms. It is also very simple to maintain. All hydraulic and working parts are located on the rear panel, behind a stainless steel cover that is easy to remove.
The CONTI+ CONPRIMUS also found favour with the German Design Award jury, which conferred a Special Mention on the shower panels in the Excellent Product Design – Bath and Wellness category for the quality of their implementation. The jury’s decision stated: “The electronically controlled shower panel features a new kind of valve technology. This interesting product with its elegant, streamlined, stainless steel design can be used in many modern shower areas.
Smart functions for ease of use and operational reliability
The other features of the CONTI+ CONPRIMUS also impress: the E-control electronic control unit with multi-colour LED temperature display enables smooth adjustment of the temperature and offers a start/stop function. The temperature selection and shower operation can be ergonomically controlled with a push & turn mechanism, which will be familiar to many users from the automotive industry. The red, violet and blue LED colour spectrum indicates the selected temperature range. Once the set water running time has ended or the water flow is actively stopped by pressing the E-control, the set temperature is maintained for a variable amount of time. After that, the thermostat automatically switches to a base temperature, which can also be adjusted (set to 38 °C at the factory).
The CONTI+ CONPRIMUS shower panels are now available in three different mains operated versions: as a multiple installation with integration into the CNX water management system (with all logging functions included), as a standalone solution that can be controlled with the CONTI+ Service APP, and as a basic version at an entry price level with functions that can be programmed directly at the shower panel using the piezo pushbutton.
